Bahamas: Nassau/Paradise Island

Nassau located on New Providence Island offers a distinct blend of international glamour and tropical easy. The resorts on Nassau are the Wyndham Nassau Resort, Sheraton and The Hilton. The Windom has access to the beautiful pools and the breathtaking clear water beaches. During the day one can choose to go to the beach and relax out in the sun, play beach volleyball, go on a water tour on a boat around the island or other water related activities, but a person can also chose to go by the pools, swim a little, drink a little and make new friends from all over the world.

Traveling from Nassau to Paradise is the strangest yet attractive bridge you will ever see. The bridge curves and it give you the perfect view to the Royal Towers of Paradise Island. On the bridge you can choose to either take a taxi or walk over it. Other forms of transportation can be taking the shuttle service to Atlantis which runs all day or take the ferry ride across which will allow you to see beauty from the center of both islands. The boat ride can be a bit scary but it’s defiantly adventurous. I say a bit scary because the boat is small and there are a large number of people who take the boat ride at the same time, so it gets a little heavy.

Atlantis Paradise Island is a water park resort located on Paradise Island. Atlantis has many attractions starting with the Aquaventure the largest waterscape and the centerpiece of the Power Tower. Some other attractions include the abyss, the drop, the surge and the fall. Other attractions include the Current, the Dig, and the Mayan Temple.

Nigh life in the Bahamas can be fun and exciting. In Nassau there are two casinos, nightclub Bunnies and an ocean inspired lounge, these are the places where you can let loose and have some fun. In Paradise Island the Columbus Tavern is the place to go. It is an intimate establishment that overlooks the Nassau Harbor. If you love sushi then try Nobu the trendy New York City inspired restaurant in which the waiting list might not be as long.

Furthermore, the pools at most resorts closed at 9pm and only on Thursday they opened up around 11PM till 1AM. But, if you are looking to have a night out or drinking and partying, purchase your own alcohol and gather around the pool with friends, do keep out of the pool and out of trouble or you will be removed from the resort. Another option is to step outside of the Resort and mix with the locals you will find that the locals are very nice and welcoming and they love to drink and party.

Weather you choose to go to Nassau Island or Paradise Island the trip can be a romantic getaway or a family vacation.
